Nadia Ayed

Evidence Lead

Nadia is our Evidence Lead at the Centre for Homelessness Impact. Nadia completed her PhD back in 2022, which focused on experiences of homelessness and housing insecurity from a social capital perspective. She was interested in understanding the role of social relationships in the context of housing precarity, and discerning what certain connections afford people experiencing homelessness. Prior to her PhD, she worked at the Centre for Family Research, with a focus on adoptive same-sex families. Nadia also has a background in mental health, having completed her Masters in Mental Health Studies and working across a variety of NHS mental health services, including acute in-patient wards, a day hospital and a home treatment team. Nadia has an interest in mixed-methods research and is passionate about social justice.
