Ben is the Evidence and Data Lead at the Centre for Homelessness Impact. His remit is to work with academic partners and policy makers to synthesise, generate and disseminate robust evidence on the effectiveness of homelessness policies and interventions.
Ben previously worked as a Research Director at AudienceNet, a full-service social and consumer research agency. His achievements there included leading a community consultation research project for a large new housing development, which demonstrated that - contrary to the views of a vocal minority - a majority of residents were in favour of the proposed new housing developments. He also helped turn academic reports and white papers about the future of ageing and housing into engaging infographics and data visualisations for a series of Cabinet Office workshops.
Ben particularly enjoys addressing the challenges involved with improving the quality of evidence and helping policymakers and practitioners to improve how homelessness is tackled and prevented.
