This project aims to build rigorous evidence of what works to alleviate rough sleeping and other forms of homelessness among young people leaving the care system.

How we are doing it

We will compare outcomes for young people after leaving care in areas that received government funding for the ‘Support for care leavers at risk of homelessness and rough sleeping’ programme with those in areas that did not receive this funding. We expect to have interim findings from the project from autumn 2025.

Ways to get involved

We are looking for local authorities to get involved: both local authorities that received funding under this programme and those that did not.
